Empty Nest – Reclaim Your Space and Purpose

When the kids have finally fled the nest and your house suddenly feels a little emptier, maybe it is too empty? If you and your partner now have more room than you really need, it might be time to consider downsizing and economising. Have you considered moving to somewhere smaller in a different area to start a new adventure, nothing ventured nothing gained? Or if you are happy where you are, take back those empty bedrooms. Refurnish with a more grown-up touch to create a guest room for visiting friends and family. Give your hobbies and passions their own space by making a hobby room or a nice relaxing space for a library. There is an added bonus to restyling your spare spaces, if your kids are having any trouble “adulting,” they’ll be more motivated to figure things out for themselves if there’s an easel or writing desk where their beds used to be. Just think, all that spare time you can now devote to yourself and maybe fill some of the time with that dream holiday you have been thinking about for all those years, or a new set of golf clubs to inspire you to polish up your swing and putts!
